I suppose the one thing about being really behind on blogging is that I have the opportunity to show some fun “then & now” pictures. I photographed Ruthie as a newborn and I recently got to see her again for her milestone session! Ruthie’s milestone session was one of the first at my new studio in NE Minneapolis, only about a block away from my old studio space. I love the white brick and the beautiful natural light we have in this space! Both she and her brother are as cute as can be and I have loved getting to photograph their family for the last 2+ years since Max was born! Ruthie and Max were so great at the studio and I love what we captured! It’s always a goal to capture at least a few shots of baby wide awake as a newborn and she is as cute as can be in her wide awake shot 🙂

So, I know I’m posting out of order, but with the relatively nice weather we’ve been having, I figured what better way to remind people that summer WILL be here before we know it! This session took place last August (I’m a bit behind on blogging so I’m trying to make up for it!!) when beautiful Miss Brooke came back for a milestone session! I’ve been lucky enough to photograph both of these adorable children since they’ve been newborns and I absolutely love their sessions each and every time! I mean, look at their adorable faces!!!! Ben and Brooke are just the cutest kids ever! I love asking a big sibling to kiss their younger sibling because the captures are always adorable and hilarious at the same time…..Check out this blast from the past and remember, it’s never too early to book your summer session! My schedule fills quickly!

Oh Josie, you are just the sweetest and you totally rocked your milestone session! This milestone is one of my favorites to capture for little ones because it truly captures lots of those cute little things we remember when we think about babies…..The rolls, the cute rosy cheeks, and even your less than thrilled stare at me when you decided you were done being a model for the day is just as cute as can be! Looking forward to seeing this cute family again for their final session in the Babycakes Package!

The M Family | Minneapolis Family Photographer

Sweet little Nora came back for her milestone session since she is part of my Babycakes Plan. This girl is gorgeous just like her big sister, and no surprise where they get it after seeing Mom and Dad 🙂 I absolutely have LOVED photographing this family for the past several years and watching them go from a couple anxiously awaiting the birth of their first daughter through her first year and then adding baby Nora to the group and finally taking pictures as a family of four with a toddler and a baby! We took a few shots in the studio but then wanted to grab some shots outside for the family since it was so beautiful! I always LOVE the studio sessions for the babies that come back for their sitter milestone session. I love the look dramatic lighting can give and the dark wood background really allows the focus to be all about the baby! I mean, look at those eyes!!!!! Can’t wait to see Nora again for her last session as part of her Babycakes Plan next spring!
