Do you have a studio?
Yes! My studio is in Minneapolis. It is conveniently located directly above Cafe Lurcat and has metered street parking. The address is 1624 Harmon Place, Minneapolis, MN.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Your session retainer reserves your session time on my calendar. I do not take a deposit for your order, but all sessions have a $500 minimum purchase required. Your ordering appointment will take place approximately 1-2 weeks after your session has taken place.
How long is my session?
Newborn sessions are approximately 3-4 hours in length. Family sessions are typically 1-1.5 hours. Senior sessions are about 2 hours.
DO YOU recommend outdoor locations?
Yes! I have many favorite outdoor spots I love to use for sessions. I am also willing to consider any special places that you may want to use for the backdrop of your session.
What kind of payments do you accept?
Molly Shields Photography accepts all major credit cards.
What if I need to reschedule?
I understand that sickness can creep up out of nowhere. I ask for a 24 hour cancellation due to illness, and I will do my best to get you in at the next available opening. Sessions fees are transferable to another date, but non-refundable.
What happens after my session?
Within 2-3 weeks we will meet for an image reveal and ordering session! You will see a slideshow of all of your images and I will show you the products that Molly Shields Photography offers. I will walk you through the different ways to order and I can answer any questions that arise during the process.
What should I wear?
In studio sessions (typically newborn) look best with neutral colors (cream, blush pink, light gray, white, black, brown). Outdoor family and senior sessions are fun to add color and show you personality. It is best to avoid large logos and neon colors.

Once you've reached out via the contact form on our site, I will respond to your request within 48 hours.

You will receive an informational guide from me after inquiring, and from there you will be able to pay your session fee, and fill out the contract and client questionnaire.

PLANNING + CONSULTATIONS
I'm here to help and answer any questions you have along the way! I will be in touch with you to help plan details specific to the type of session you are booking. I want your session to be as unique as you are, so I am happy to make recommendations for clothing, session location, etc.

Picture day
Get ready to have some fun! We will meet at my studio or the agreed upon location for your session and capture some fantastic images!

Image Reveal + ordering appointment
We will meet virtually or in person to view your images and I will walk you through the ordering process, showing you the products I offer and answering any questions along the way!
