This family is just the best.  It has been such fun to document the growth of their family from a maternity session with a couple expecting their first child, newborn and milestone sessions for sweet Davi and now the maternity and newborn session of their beautiful new addition Isabela.  The term “rainbow baby” has been used to describe babies who are born after a miscarriage, stillbirth or loss of a child, much like a rainbow that appears after a storm. Although Isabela isn’t a rainbow baby by that definition, this little angel is a survivor and has a story that definitely shows she is the rainbow after the storm. This little girl underwent emergency brain surgery at less than 48 hours old after Mom noticed she had been having seizures that were originally dismissed by doctors. After a nurse witnessed the seizures she underwent a series of tests and was transported to children’s hospital where she was prepped for surgery to save her life. It was later determined that sweet Isabela had suffered a stroke while she was still in her Mama’s belly. Did I mention that Isabela had her surgery on Christmas Day? This family has been through so much in the last few months and they have this beautiful and PERFECT little girl here by the grace of God. This picture was taken less than 3 months after her brain surgery, and less than 3.5 weeks after another surgery to reattach her skull from the original surgery. I am completely in awe of this beautiful little girl and her family who have endured so much in her first few months of life!
