How adorable is this little family on their front porch?!? Maddie turned two this fall and Coulter turned 7! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them since Maddie’s newborn pictures. Melanie and Brad love their St. Paul home and wanted to do this year’s photo session at a location in St. Paul so we decided what would be better than in their own little neighborhood! It’s always so much fun to photograph people in a location that is meaningful to them! Now they will have these images years from now to remind their kids of the home they grew up in! Tabitha came back to celebrate her 9 month birthday for her milestone session as part of her Babycakes Package! Seriously, this has become one of my favorite kind of sessions to photograph. Babies typically come in to celebrate their “sitting milestone” between 6 and 9 months of age. Ideally, when they can sit unassisted but not yet crawl, they are happy, not yet scared of strangers, and have nothing better to be trying to do since they can’t get away from where I put them lol! I love all the fun fancy little outfits I get to buy too!!! No more of my own little angels to dress in cute outfits at this age so I love to buy fun things for the studio for my clients to wear! One fun thing that her parents brought to her newborn session as well as her milestone session were their teddy bears and her teddy bear that they all received as babies. I loved getting to recreate the shot from her newborn session. We definitely didn’t expect a sleeping baby, but let’s face it, being a model is hard work and sometimes you just need a quick nap mid session! No problem, we just eased her into a comfortable position and piled on the teddy bears right around her! How sweet!!!!Below is her newborn session teddy shot and underneath that is her at 9 months with her teddy bears!

Lena came back for her milestone session this winter and she is just as cute as a button! You may remember seeing a few of her sneak peeks on facebook. She gave me a full open mouth smile like I’ve never seen before on a newborn! Well, she showed up ready to impress this time too! Lena you are just as gorgeous and sweet as the first time I met you! This little guy came to see me for his 8 month pictures! He was joined by big sister Khloe (2) and big brother Enzo (4). This little trio could not have been cuter and they were just perfect little angels and SO well behaved! We focused the session on Mikah, but got a couple individuals of big siblings as well as a family picture to round out the session 🙂 Aren’t they gorgeous?!?!

Did I mention recently that I have the best job in the entire world? If not, let me say it again….I have THE BEST JOB in the entire world. I meet and photograph the most lovely families in Minneapolis and St. Paul! I have absolutely loved getting to know Blake’s Mom, Dad and big brother since he came in for his newborn session in 2018! This little guy is such a charmer and was just working the camera! He was in such good spirits. This was the same baby that mean mugged at his newborn session, ha ha! He also had the best smile just a minute later…Wouldn’t it be great to know what they’re thinking when they make all these adorable faces? I’ve added one of my favorite glares along with a couple gorgeous smiles from his newborn session just so you can see what I mean! Blake, I can’t wait to photograph you and your beautiful family again this summer/fall at your final session in your Babycakes Package!
