Wow! How are these babies already one?!?!? It seems like just yesterday I was shooting their newborn session! Hank and Blair were full of personality and a total riot to photograph. Ms. Blair wasn’t interested in interacting with her family when the camera was out, she was only interested in the camera! What a ham! Aren’t these sweet babies just the cutest things ever? Their adorable monogrammed outfits make these images even sweeter!!!!!!

I have absolutely loved documenting this beautiful family through two pregnancies and two beautiful babies!!! This was Elsie’s second photo shoot with me and she was as sweet this day as she was when I met her at her newborn session. Big brother Graham loved being down by the water and would have much preferred to throw rocks into the Mississippi River than slow down and take pictures! I did manage to capture a few of Graham being his adorable self! My personal favorite is the sibling image of the two together in the crate. It was pretty much my only hope of containing the two of them for more than a second, but it’s pretty cute and definitely captures the busy stage of life for this family! Hunter | Minneapolis Newborn Photographer

This sweet baby kept me on my toes! Hunter was probably the MOST wide awake and alert 2 week old I have EVER met! He was totally adorable too! He did fall asleep for a short bit, but I kind of love those sweet curious eyes open images we captured. The beautiful rainbow blanket in the crate with Hunter was handmade by one of his mommy’s friends. She started to knit it when she learned that Paula had been in a car accident after being hit by another car at 35 weeks pregnant! Thank goodness both Paula and Hunter were alright, but the very special blanket was made with lots of love for this sweet baby! Did I mention that I LOVE LOVE LOVE getting to photograph friends? It’s so much fun capturing the personalities and relationships between people I care about. I met Evan and Sarah 5 years ago and since then they have had 3 beautiful children together! This is the first time I’ve photographed them as a family of 5, but hopefully not the last! Despite the fact that it had been upper 80’s ALL week long, the temperature took a dip the day of our session and was a bit breezy and probably only about 60 degrees. They were all go with the flow and rolled with the changes. We covered baby Charlotte to keep her nice and warm and the big kids were amazing! They were so very well behaved! Briar | Minneapolis Newborn Photographer

Briar was my first baby of October! She was so so well behaved at her session. As a general rule, I’ve found that baby girls tend to be a bit more feisty at their newborn sessions than baby boys. Well, this little one was the exception to the rule, no doubt. She was a total dream!
